Syllabus
The purpose of this course is to provide the students with a survey of various interrelationships within the human systems. The students will understand structure and functions of the diverse systems and their relationship to one another as well as the diseases of those systems. It is a recommended course if you plan to pursuer advanced science studies in college. Rigorous studying is required in order to be successful in this course. It is imperative to review your text daily, in addition to completing each lab assignment.
TOPICS OF STUDY
6 to 8 spiral notebooks for each topic of study
Plenty of pens (black or blue ink) and pencils
Mini stapler
Goggles or safety glasses
Glue
Graph paper
Scissors
Magic markers and colored pencils
Hole puncher
Highlighter
One box of disposable gloves
Teaching techniques include lecture, lab, dissections, worksheets, group assignments, home assignments, research and reports, and DVD’s. Quizzes and exams will be utilized in efforts to provide understanding of the topics. ALL STUDENTS are required to participate in class by doing the assigned work during the allotted time. Tests will be given regularly, and advanced notice will be given for tests. However, quizzes may or may not be scheduled. You will be responsible for the materials that you receive in lecture and the corresponding textbook information.
